  1. The City of Orinda invites local businesses, organizations and community groups to submit events for inclusion on our Community Calendar, a resource to showcase what’s happening across the city. All submissions are subject to review, and posting is not guaranteed. By submitting an event, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which may be updated at any time without prior notice.
  2. Purpose of the Calendar
    1. The Community Calendar is intended to:
      • Highlight events that support local economic activity and community engagement
      • Promote activities that attract residents and visitors to Orinda
      • Serve as a central hub for public events hosted by local businesses, nonprofits and civic groups
  3. Eligibility to Submit
    1. Event submissions are welcome from:
      • Local businesses including restaurants, retailers and service providers
      • Nonprofit organizations
      • Community groups 
      • Civic associations
  4. Event Criteria
    1. To be considered for inclusion, your event must meet the following requirements:
      • The business or organization must be located in or have a clear connection to the City of Orinda.
      • Events must be open to the general public, whether free or ticketed.
      • Events must take place within the City of Orinda.
      • Events must comply with all local, state and federal laws.
      • Events may not promote or involve illegal activity or include offensive, derogatory or discriminatory content.
      • Events may not promote any political candidate or campaign.
      • If fundraising is involved, the event must benefit a charitable or nonprofit organization registered and in good standing with the California Secretary of State and comply with all applicable fundraising regulations.
  5. Disclaimer and Limitations
    1. Inclusion on the calendar does not imply endorsement by the City of Orinda of any business, organization or activity.
    2. The City is not liable for any damages, losses or injuries resulting from participation in or attendance at any posted event.
    3. The City reserves the sole discretion to approve, edit or remove calendar submissions at any time for any reason it deems necessary.
  6. Acknowledgment
    1. By submitting an event, you agree to these guidelines and to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Orinda, its officials, employees and agents from any related claims or liabilities.
