Winterfest
Join the City of Orinda in celebrating the start of the holiday season! Rain or shine, the Orinda Parks and Rec’s Winterfest event will be Saturday, December 5th in the Orinda Community Center, located at 28 Orinda Way. This event is free and open to the entire community.
Winterfest is held in conjunction with the community’s second Orinda Gingerbread House Making Contest, created and sponsored by the Orinda/Tabor Sister City Foundation. The event and viewing of the gingerbread house contest entries will begin at 5:30 PM. Winners of the Gingerbread House Contest will be announced at approximately 6 PM. Thank you to the Orinda Community Foundation and the Orinda Parks and Recreation Foundation for sponsoring this event, additional festivities will include a performance by the Orinda Intermediate School Choir, led by Choir Director Christina Holling, the Orinda PD “Stuff a Cruiser” Toy Drive, a craft for children led by your Orinda Teen Advisory Council, as well as a seasonal-themed photo opportunity – families will need to bring their own camera/phone.
